Grizzly, Moose, Dall Rams & Caribou are the focus of most hunters' attention in the Arctic Game Management Unit 23, with Black Bear, Wolf & Wolverine sometimes taken incidentally or by special arrangement. On Kodiak Island we offer hunts for Brown Bear, Sitka Blacktail Deer, Fox & Ducks. Open seasons are subject to change, but the listed dates are now & usually valid.
Our hunters' success rate since 1974 has been: GRIZZLY 71/88=81%; DALL RAM 80/87=92%; CARIBOU 193/201=96%; MOOSE 104/109=95%; SITKA DEER 114/118=98%. We run a small camp - 3 to 5 hunters/booking preferred. Multiple specie 10 - 12 day hunts provide the best trophy quality potential. Longer bookings can be arranged, if done early.
