Friends of Cottonwood lake is a group of  lake property owners. We have been called to be a an information resource.  Being neighbors of this lake community we welcome any information you might like to share on this site. 

 

 

 

Approximately 1.5 by .5 miles, Cottonwood is one of the warmer lakes in the Valley. It offers swimming, boating, water skiing, fishing (summer and winter), float and ski plane operations, and skating.

Cottonwood Lake is part of a 7-mile canoe trail, connected to Finger Lake and Wasilla Lake by short portages.

Any group of 20 or more residents or property owners of the borough may petition the planning commission to make a lake or waterway subject to the conditions of this chapter.
